A 'smart lockdown' has been imposed in 17 areas of six different union councils of Hyderabad from today morning till Dec 5 in view of increasing positivity ratio of coronavirus cases, Deputy Commissioner Fuad Ghaffar Soomro said.
The UCs where lockdown will be imposed include UC-1 of City taluka; UCs 4 and 16 of Latifabad taluka; UCs 3, 4 and 5 of Qasimabad taluka.
The DC has urged people to cooperate, follow standard operating procedures and wear masks.
