LAHORE: The PML-N has announced the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) rallies will be held as per schedule in the country come what may.

“(Prime Minister) Imran Khan is afraid of PDM rallies and he is hiding behind Covid-19 to stop it [opposition alliance] from holding public meetings. But, we want to tell him that the PDM rallies would not be stopped. The Peshawar rally on Sunday (today) will be held at any cost,”

PML-N information secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb said in a statement here on Saturday.

She said the “corrupt policies” of the Imran Khan government had brought the country on the verge of economic collapse. The people wanted to come on the roads to get rid of the ‘reckless’ government, she added.

“The people of the country have been restless since this selected government came to power. Now the time has come for Imran Niazi to get restless,” she said.

PML-N Punjab information secretary Azma Bokhari asked was there no Covid threat when the prime minister and his cabinet members were holding public rallies in Gilgit Baltistan.

“In the form of Imran Khan, Pakistan is facing the biggest Corona threat today,” she said.

Ms Bokhari said the PDM’s drive would not be stopped now no matter how many hurdles the PTI government created in its way.

“Imran-Corona has made the lives of the people miserable and they are praying for his ouster,” she said.
