KARACHI: The 5th Essalab Basketball tournament begins at the Arambagh-Abdul Nasir courts from Sunday, the KBBA announced on Friday.

Six top zonal teams from Karachi will participate in the tournament in which all the matches will be played in daytime and all SOPs will be strictly followed while players will be provided facilities for protection from Covid-19.

Governor Rotary Club Dr Farhan Essa will inaugurate the tournament at 4:30pm. The tournament draws will be taken out on Saturday (today).

KBBA President Ghulam Mohammad said that after the tournament final, a special ceremony will be held to honour some leading sports personalities with Quaid-e-Azam awards.
