DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Female teacher of a private school, who was kidnapped 10 days ago, has yet to be recovered, her family complained.

Speaking at a news conference here on Monday, Anila Shaheen, the sister of kidnapped Nighat Shaheen, alleged that the police were unable to trace the kidnappers and recover her sister.

Flanked by her father, Farid and brother, Hikmatullah, Ms Anila alleged that Inayatullah along with three other unidentified persons kidnapped her at gunpoint at Eidgah Muryali when she was going to her school along with her cousin, Naqibullah, on a motorcycle. She said after registration of FIR the police arrested Inayatullah’s father, Abdullah Jan, but not the real culprit.

“We had also requested the magistrate to order registration of FIR against Ehtisham and Masood as they were accomplices of the main suspect, but the police have yet to arrest them,’’ she said.

We have also lodged a complaint with the Prime Minister and Chief Minister’s Complaints Cells. We are asking for justice but justice is not being provided to us, she said.

Ms Anila appealed to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the CJP, the chief justice of the Peshawar High Court, the KP governor, the chief minister and the police chief to ensure early recovery of her sister.

PML-N CONVENTION: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz provincial president Amir Muqam has claimed the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government has destroyed the country’s economy.

Speaking at a workers convention at Baisakhi Ground on Monday, he said due to unemployment and inflation people were starving to death. He feared the prevailing situation would cause lawlessness in the country.

He said the PML-N’s objective was to rid the country of the present incompetent rulers.

On the occasion, PML-N provincial general secretary Murtaza Javed Abbasi insisted the incompetent prime minister would be sent home sooner than later.

“The prime minister has betrayed the cause of Kashmiris,’’ he said. Dawar Khan Kundi, the party’s divisional organiser, said the people wanted to get rid of the PTI government. He said thousands of people from Dera would participate in the PDM’s Peshawar rally on Nov 22.
