LAHORE: The Punjab police has launched Punjab Police Women Safety App to improve safety of women.

Using women safety App during any emergency, women can get the services of Police Helpline 15, Rescue 1122, highway police and motorway police in just one click.

IGP Punjab Inam Ghani has requested all women to download the Punjab Police Women Safety App in their mobile phones and register themselves.

Addressing a meeting in this regard at the Central Police Office on Saturday, he said said that protection of women is among the top priorities of the police as well as the government.

He said beside police, agencies like Rescue, motorway police and Punjab highway patrol were also part of this initiative.
