620 new cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Sindh, the highest daily jump since July 29, taking the provincial tally to 149,542, according to Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Of the total 620, 504 of the cases were detected in Karachi alone.

Twelve more people lost their lives from the virus, with Sindh's death toll rising to 2,679.

A total of 9,995 tests were carried out during the last 24 hours in Sindh, Shah said.
