TANDO JAM: Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas basketball teams beat their respective rivals in the semifinals here to reach the final of the Shaheed-e-Millat SSB Cup basketball tournament at the Sindh Agricu­lture University campus court on Saturday night.

Hyderabad beat Sindh Agriculture University 42-36 while Mirpurkhas came over a stiff challenge from Tando Jam United 36-33 to enter the final. The semi-finals were witnessed by KBBA president Ghulam Mohammad, Director Sports SAU Anwar Khanzada and retired Major Raja Shiraz.

Earlier, on Friday night, Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam beat Liaquat Medical University Sciences 36-34 in a nerve fraying contest.

In the other match of the day, Hyderabad Division beat Tamdo Jam United 38-36 in another tough contest.
