PESHAWAR: Strongly reacting to the statement of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz head Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif against the army chief, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has termed it an anti-state agenda and said that such kind of statements could be expected only from the enemies of the country.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, the chief minister said that the Pakistan Army had rendered unprecedented sacrifices for the country and thousands of security personnel had laid down their lives for the sake of the motherland.

He said that the entire nation held the Pakistan Army in high esteem for its sacrifices offered for country and every individual of the nation stood shoulder to shoulder with it.

Mahmood Khan strongly condemned Nawaz Sharif’s statement and termed it an attack on the entire army. He asked patriotic workers of PML-N to condemn the statement of their party head and to disown it.

He said that despite remaining in power for three times Nawaz Sharif didn’t do anything for the people of the country, but plundered its resources to expand his family business. He said that people of the country had reposed full confidence in Imran Khan.

“Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Imran khan, the incumbent government is making sincere efforts to take the country out of multiple crises left behind by the pervious incompetent and corrupt rulers,” he said.
