KARACHI: A shopkeeper was killed in a scuffle with his customer after a heated argument between them over a petty issue in Orangi Town on Sunday.
Police said that the shopkeeper, Naseem Baig, 35, sustained fatal internal injury in the scuffle with the customer near Hyderi Imambargah in Orangi Town-10.
Mominabad SHO Abdul Khaliq Ansari said that the unknown customer had bought a door from the shopkeeper on down payment but was not paying the remaining amount, stated to be a few thousand rupees.
He said the two persons fought over the issue during which Mr Baig apparently suffered some fatal internal injury.
There were no injury marks visible on his body, he said, adding that the body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Man found dead
The body of a man was found lying near MT cut along the Northern Bypass on Sunday.
Surjani police said that the man aged 35-36 was later identified by his brother as Abdul Sattar by his brother.
Police officer Fazal Kareem said that the victim’s face appeared smashed, and guessed that he might have been killed in a road accident.
The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The deceased hailed from Shikarpur and was living in the Jamali Pul locality along Superhighway.
