DERA GHAZI KHAN: South Punjab Additional Inspector General (AIG) retired Capt Zafar Iqbal visited the area adjacent to DG Cement Factory on Thursday and held a meeting with the commandant of border military police (BMP), Hamza Salik, to evolve a joint strategy against armed gangsters hiding in the mountainous tribal area.

The tehsil falls under the BMP.

Last week, the gang had killed a constable of Baloch Levy, Sajjad Qaisrani, in the vicinity of Kashoba border military police station of the tribal area tehsil Takht Sulaiman.

A joint team of the BMP and the Baloch Levy was attacked in the jurisdiction of Kashoba station where it had gone to retrieve a stolen car. The Ladi gang operates in the area adjacent to the DG Cement Factory.
