ISLAMABAD: A 17-member delegation of Rawalpindi Bar Association (RBA) headed by its president Syed Ghulam Mustafa Kamal comprising office bearers of the association called on Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed in the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

According to a press release issued by the association, Justice Ahmed, whilst welcoming the delegation, said that the bench and bar are an integral part of the same system, therefore both should work hard for dispensation of justice so that aggrieved parties can get prompt relief.

He said: “Legal profession is one of the respectable professions; therefore you people must upheld dignity, integrity, respect and honour of the profession.”

Issues of mutual interest regarding the legal profession were discussed while the delegation informed the chief justice about the association’s role towards creating harmony between the bench and bar in Rawalpindi and how it always extended due respect to judges and discouraged strikes.
