KARACHI: World Mental Health Day

KARACHI, Sept 26: A number of activities on the theme of ‘Mental and Physical Health Across the Life Span’ have been planned by the Karachi Port Trust and Karawan-e-Hayat Psychiatric Care and Rehabilitation Centre to mark the World Mental Health Day on Friday.

In the morning session, a variety programme will be held, in which patients of the rehabilitation centre will perform on different songs and take part in different games and activities. A stage play will also be presented.

In the afternoon, Dr Ajmal Kazmi, MS of the centre, will give a presentation on ‘Suicide and its prevention’. A panel discussion has also been planned. The panellists will include Dr Zafar Quraishi and Dr Ajmal Kazmi.
