The global Covid-19 case tally has risen to 35.2 million, according to the Coronavirus Resource Centre at Johns Hopkins University.

The United States has the highest number of cases in the world with more than 7.4m infections, followed by India with 6.6m and Brazil with 4.9m infections. According to JHU, more than 1.03m people have died due to the coronavirus so far.

Meanwhile, the number of worldwide Covid-19 recoveries has risen to 26.6m, according to Reuters.
