MUZAFFARGARH: Two female teachers of as many tehsils tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday while Deputy Commissioner (DC) Amjad Shoaib Tareen has ordered closure of their schools for 10 days.

Of them, one teacher is from Muzaffargarh and the other from Jatoi. The DC directed the health authority to quarantine the staff of two government schools.

Health officials also detained the vans which provided them pick and drop.

On the other hand, District Headquarters Hospital doctors urged the public to avoid handshake and keep physical distancing after five pneumonia-coronovirus patients were admitted there for treatment and all of them were in a serious condition.

The DC has directed assistant commissioners of four tehsils to check seminaries, schools and marriage halls.

In the last two months, Recepe Tayyip Erdogan hospital housed more than 1,000 patients of the virus.
