FAISALABAD: Four people, including three brothers, have been booked for killing national kabbadi team player Zubair Baloch in Chak 199-RB, Gatwala, on Monday.

Submitting an application, Muhammad Hassan, brother of Baloch, said Ali Raza opened fire on Baloch at a local billiards club while his brothers Arif and Tariq and an unidentified person threatened him (applicant) and two witnesses with consequences with the weapons they were carrying. He said his brother, who was player of the Pakistan Army team, breathed his last at the spot.

Reports said that Baloch had a dispute with Ali Raza, who is his cousin, as they quarreled about four months ago over some issue. However, the area notables played their role and reconciled the issue.

People of the area said both sides had a quarrel again on Monday near a snooker club and Ali gunned down Baloch and fled. Police said investigation into the issue had been launched.
