LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to take action against those involved in manufacturing and sale of fake and counterfeit cosmetics, causing harm to human skin.

The government will be able to take action against such elements under “The Punjab Drug Amendment Bill 2020”, which has been approved by the provincial cabinet.

He said the mafia manufacturing and selling substandard and counterfeit cosmetics remained unaccountable in the past as no action was taken against them by the institutions concerned.

He said the manufacturers and sellers of substandard cosmetics were playing with the health of people, besides looting them.
