LAKKI MARWAT: Two people, including a married woman, were killed in separate incidents in Ghaznikhel and Zahidabad localities here on Friday.

Police said body of a married woman was found lying in a room of her house in Ghaznikhel, adding the deceased was strangled as wounds were visible on her neck and throat.

Mohammad Shahab, 14, son of the deceased, told police that his father, a medical technician in the nearby Tor Lawangkhel village, was not present at house when the incident occurred. “In the morning, I found my mother lying dead alongside a charpoy in her room with blood and foam coming out of her nose and mouth,” he said, adding he immediately called out his neighbours for help.

He said his mother had been strangled with the help of a rope as signs of strangulation around her neck and throat were noticed. The complainant said his family had no enmity with anyone.

Police registered a case against an unknown killer under section 302 of PPC.

Separately, a man was killed outside his house in Zahidabad locality of Naurang town. Complainant Inshaullah, 19, told the police that he along with his father, Sharifullah Khan, were outside their house when an unidentified man came there and opened fire on his father with a pistol, killing him on the spot. He said the killer escaped the place. A case was registered with the Shaheed Asmatullah Khan Khattak police station.
