Wahi Pandhi college

Published September 17, 2020

ALTHOUGH basic education is a fundamental right of every Pakistani, we have a poor literacy rate. Wahi Pandhi has a population of about 70,000, but, sadly, it doesn’t have adequate education facilities.

We do have a high school here which is only for boys. As there is no college, students who can afford are forced to go to other cities for further studies. Only a fraction of the city’s populace is able to get higher education.

As a result, students are forced to quit studies and they end up taking jobs that pay no more than what a labourer gets.

A budget for a college was sanctioned eight years ago, but the college is still under construction.

The Sindh government should ensure early constriction of this college.
