KOHAT, Sept 22: Girls have secured the top three positions in the BSc Part-II annual examination, 2002, of the Kohat University of Science and Technology according to the results announced here on Thursday. According to the results, 469 candidates appeared in BSc Part-II examination, of whom 285 were declared successful and the pass percentage was 60.77.

Yusra Umer of the Government Girls Degree College, Kohat, got the first position securing 479 out of 550 marks, Samreen of the same college secured the second position with 435 marks and Hina Afzal Rana of the Federal Government Degree College for Women, Kohat, got the third position with 432 marks.

In BSc part-I, 728 candidates appeared, of whom, 288 were successful. The pass percentage was 39.5.

BAIL CANCELLED: A supervisor of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company and an administrator of an imambargah were remanded in the Kohat Bureau of Investigation’s custody in a robbery case by the additional district and sessions judge on Thursday.

PTCL Supervisor Moharram Ali Shah and administrator of Syed Habib Shah Imambargah, Amjad Ali Shah, were nominated in a robbery case by one Mazhar Ali Shah in July. However, both the accused got bail before arrest from a local court.

On Thursday, additional district and sessions judge Viqar Khattak cancelled their bail before arrest and ordered their arrest.

The complainant reported to police that the accused had got away with 20 tola gold, Rs50,000, $5,000 and Rs20,000 worth of Iranian currency from his house in KDA Township.
