Outburst in NA

Published September 8, 2020

APROPOS the letter ‘Outburst in NA’ (Sept 3). The writer has criticised former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for using unparliamentary language against the speaker. I would like to point out that when the ruling party was in the opposition, they lost no opportunity to indulge in such tactics, with its leader once saying quote unquote: “Laanat to this assembly.”

As for the writer’s contention that the former ruling party “has not done anything for the common man during their longest tenure in the federal and provincial governments” well he has a right to his opinion.

I would like to add that it should now be apparent to all and sundry that the present lot is no good either.
