KARAK: The Karak police lodged FIR against 37 elders for blocking the Indus Highway during a protest against the killing of a young man.

Officials said the FIR was registered in Takht-i-Nusrati police station against the elders, who also included former president of Khattak Ittehad Maulana Mirzaqeen and PPP district general secretary Jehanzeb Khattak.

It is pertinent to mention here that the elders had led a march to the Indus Highway two days ago and blocked it at Ahmadabad Chowk by placing the body of the victim on the road.
