PESHAWAR: A group of protesting students belonging to different localities here on Tuesday complained that they faced difficulties in getting online admissions in various professional colleges and universities, and demanded of the government to restore the traditional admission procedure.
Talking to mediapersons outside the Peshawar Press Club, the students said the educational institutions had announced online admissions but poor internet connectivity was the major problem for those who had recently passed the secondary school certificate and intermediate examinations.
The protesters said the agriculture university, engineering university, Islamia College University and the University of Peshawar had not announced a clear admission policy to facilitate the students.
They said it was duty of the government to facilitate the students, especially those facing the internet connectivity problem. They said the only solution to the problem was opening the universities and postgraduate colleges at least for completing the admission process.
