The Balochistan government has decided to extend the province-wide smart lockdown enforced to curb the spread of the coronavirus till August 17.

According to the notification, during the time the lockdown is in place:

  • There will be a ban on gathering of more than 10 people, sit-in and processions at public places
  • More than two people will not be allowed to travel in the same car
  • All people will have to wear a mask or cover their faces with a piece of cloth in public places
  • All educational institutions will remain closed
  • All marriage halls, parks, auditoriums, cinemas, farmhouses and places of entertainment will remain closed

The notification stated that businesses and shops will be allowed to remain open from 9am to 7pm six days a week.
