KARACHI, Sept 17: Prime Minister Shuakat Aziz will lay the foundation of the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Tower project in November, with a view to streamline the ever growing medical needs of masses visiting the JPMC from across the country.

Federal Health Secretary Syed Anwar Mahmood chairing a meeting at JPMC on Saturday said the federal government with a view to provide single roof health care facilities to the masses had decided in principle to build medical towers at the JPMC as well as at the PIMS, Islamabad.

The meeting attended by all departmental heads of the JPMC and senior professionals associated with it reviewed the proposal and came forward with their respective suggestions.

Representative of NESPAK consultants was also asked to come forward with a detailed report within a month regarding feasibility to have two or four towers under the proposed project at the JPMC.—APP
