Planning Minister Asad Umar, while chairing a National Command and Operation Centre meeting, has briefed the participants on the measures being taken to ensure that preventive measures against Covid-19 are being taken across the country.

He informed the forum that throughout the country, several illegal mandis have been closed and fines and other penalties have been meted out to those responsible. Umar said that techonology was also used to detect violations of standard operating procedures.

He urged the people to follow the prime minister's directions and celebrate Eidul Azha with simplicity by avoiding recreational spots and crowded places.
