Planning Minister Asad Umar says the next days 10 days that will include Eidul Alzha are "crucial" regarding the spread of the coronavirus in the country.

Speaking to reporters after a National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting in Quetta, he said cases and deaths had seen a spike after Eidul Fitr because people showed negligence.

All provincial chief secretaries, therefore, were given "special instructions" to ensure implementation of the health guidelines and SOPs issued for bazaars and cattle markets, he added.

Umar urged the public to celebrate Eid "with simplicity" and follow all precautions
