Prime Minister Imran Khan has spoken to Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, discussing efforts to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

While offering condolences on the loss of lives due to Covid-19 in Bangladesh, Prime Minister Imran commended the steps taken by the Bangladeshi leadership to contain the spread of the virus, a Foreign Office statement said.

"The two leaders exchanged views on their respective steps to deal with the myriad challenges posed by Covid-19," it said.

Prime Minister Imran apprised Hasina of his government’s efforts to "save lives and livelihoods" and about his "global initiative on debt relief" for developing countries.
