Temple City, a restaurant in Madurai, India has started making 'mask parathas' to raise awareness about the Covid-19 pandemic, The Hindu reported.
The restaurant's owner, K. L. Kumar said that the aim of the 'mask parathas' was to encourage people to wear masks so the spread of the infection could be curbed.
The restaurant's paratha master said they replicated the design of a surgical mask using the ingredients for a traditional "veechu" paratha. "It was a success on our very first try," The Hindu quoted him as saying.
