KARACHI: In the Allah Bux murder case Mr. Dialmal Lalwani concluded his arguments. [He] submitted that the allegations of political rivalry between Mr. Allah Bux and Khan Bahadur Khuhro were useless. He referred to the evidence of K.B. Haji Moula Bux (brother of Allah Bux) and said that his evidence was not direct evidence. He said that the investigations by Mr. G.G. Ray were biased because Mr. Ray had felt that K.B. Khuhro had committed the murder. Before any inference could be drawn that Khuhro brothers had any hand in concealing approver Daresh, there should be some material to warrant it. “Your honour requires tons of corroboration in this case but [they] have not even an ounce of it. The confession should be full fledged and [there] should be admission of its knowledge.”

As regards evidence of approver Mohammed Khan, defence counsel said that before it could be used under Section 10 of the Evidence Act against the accused, it should be proved that they and Daresh were conspirators. Mohamed Khan, instead of swinging [from] the gallows, enjoyed police service. His story was full of falsehoods. After Mr. Dialmal concluded his arguments, the court rose for the day.
