Balochistan government spokesman Liaquat Shahwani has said that while the province has enough beds and personal protective equipment (PPEs), it does not have enough ventilators.
He was addressing a press briefing in Quetta alongside the premier's aide on political communication Shahbaz Gill.
"Balochistan has a shortage of ventilators. We [the provincial government] are coordinating with National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to acquire more ventilators," he said, adding that the federal government should make Balochistan a "top priority" when they distribute ventilators among the provinces.

He said that the Balochistan government had announced a "Shuhada Package" for those doctors and paramedics who had lost their lives while fighting against the virus.
"287 doctors have been infected so far and five of them have sadly passed away. 69 parademics got infected and three of them sadly passed away," he said.
