QUETTA, Sept 12: A large number of people in the tribal area of Kohlu were found suffering from tuberculoses, intestinal worms, anaemia and hepatitis B during a free medical camp.

The camp was established by the army to provide fee check-up, surgery and medicines to needy people.

A team of surgeons, physician, gynaecologists, eye and ENT specialists examined around 3,000 people.

Local tribal elders, including Mir Razan Khan Marri, Mir Naseebullah Khan Marri, Mir Bahar Khan Marri and Wadera Wazir Khan Marri, also visited the camp.

They were also provided medical care and medicines for their dispensaries.

Army teams also distributed food and other essential items among needy people of the area.

Te army will also hold free medical camps at Sui, Nasirabad and Nushki during the current month.

Earlier, such camps were held at Jhat Pat, Zehri, Tangi Ziarat, Qila Saifullah, Duki and Akram Wala, where 15,500 people got treatment.
