SUKKUR: The First Additional Judge of Jacobabad Sessions Court, Zulfiqar Ali Shaikh, on Tuesday rejected the bail application of four suspects nominated in the May 28 murder of a journalist, Zulfiqar Ali Mandrani, and remanded them into jail custody.

Police constable Mumtaz Dayo, Imam Ali Shah, Ustad Akbar Dayo and Ghulam Ali Dayo — who were on interim bail granted to them by the Sindh High Court at Larkana — appeared before the judge for confirmation of their bail but the judge rejected their plea and remanded them in judicial custody.
