LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid on Sunday visited the Corona Control Room at the Mayo Hospital and sought briefing on its functioning.

Mayo Hospital CEO Prof Asad Aslam Khan and Medical Superintendent Tahir Khalil briefed the minister on the working of the Central Control Room, says a press release.

The minister directed the official that families of corona patients must be provided information on a daily basis. She said the control room would keep the families of the patients updated about their condition.

She said the doctors in the facility were providing information of data and statistics as well as providing general guidance to people.

The minister said, “the Central Control Room will consolidate the data of the Covid-19 patients for analysis. The Control Room will be very helpful in guiding the families of the patients.

Counseling is extremely important for treatment of patients. The team of Prof Asad Aslam deserves appreciation for this great effort.”
