Quaid’s death anniversary today

KARACHI, Sept 10: The 57th death anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah will be observed on Sunday with due solemnity.

Quran Khawani will be held at the mausoleum of the founder of Pakistan at 7.30am.

Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and members of the provincial cabinet will visit the mausoleum to offer fateha and lay floral wreaths.

The representatives of the three services will also offer fateha and lay floral wreaths.

People from different walks of life will also visit the mausoleum to pay tribute to Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

A number of events will be organised by social and political organisations in commemoration of the death anniversary.

Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Lt Gen (R) Khalid Maqbool said that the government was making sincere and dedicated efforts for the fulfilment of the ideas of equality, liberty, social and economic justice – principles which the Quaid had held dear to his heart.—APP
