President Dr Arif Alvi has urged the public to strictly follow precautionary measures to curb the spread of Covid-19 by washing hands, wearing face masks and ensuring social distancing.
In a tweet, he said: "Till today their seems to be no confirmed treatment of Covid-19, just improvement in patient management as we learn more. Government, media, & public responsibility is to strictly follow frequent washing of hands, compulsorily wear masks & ensure social distancing. We must."
In another tweet, he said that the "best solution still is to avoid Covid-19 with [standard operating procedures]".
