KARACHI: Sports For Life and Sindh Olym­pic Association are jointly organising the first Online Basketball Coaching Course from June 4. All students from schools, colleges, universities and other young people can avail this course.

International Abdul Nasir and Mohammad Yaqoob Qadri are the course commandants while FIBA instructor Mohammad Riaz, Mohammad Umar, Tariq Hussain and Dr Auj Zahoor will be among the team of instructors besides Khurram Rafiq and Dilip Singh will also assist in the coaching process.

Giving details, Sports For Life Chief Executive Shehzad Qazi said that online basketball coaching course is the first of its kind during which several lectures will be delivered and afterwards an MCQ test will also be carried out. The participants will be awarded online participation certificates.

He thanked KBBA president Ghulam Mohammad and SOA chief Ahmed Ali Rajput for cooperating in the online course.

Director Informational DMC Korangi Mohammad Arshad has been appointed as coordinator while Asad Ebad Khan will be the course organiser.

Shehzad further said that forms and other information for the online course can be downloaded from sportsonline.com or interested players can also contact on Whatsapp group 0336-2282595 for more information.

Meanwhile, SOA chairman Dr Junaid Ali Shah and president Mohammad Bakhsh Khan Mehr have welcomed the online basketball course and termed it a development in the right direction in the current situation.

Former International basketball captain Tanveer Ahmed also supported and welcomed the online course.
