Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that one window at the booking offices of railway stations in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Sukkur, Multan, Peshawar and Quetta will be open for those who want to buy tickets. People will be able to buy tickets from the stations in addition to booking them online.

Rashid said the decision was taken after the online booking system could not take the load of visitors trying to buy tickets and crashed. "The window will be open between 8am to 5pm on Friday and all standard operating procedures will be followed," he added.
