Karachi Commissioner Iftikhar Shallwani has issued standard operating procedures (SOPs) for shopping malls in the metropolis to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Some of these are listed below;

  • No customer will be allowed to enter shopping malls without a face mask
  • Hand sanitiser should be made available at all entry points
  • No customer shall be allowed to enter without being scanned by a thermal gun
  • Persons over 55 years of age and children below 12 years of age will not be allowed to enter shopping malls
  • Shopping malls shall be frequently cleaned with disinfectants
