The Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department has issued standard operating procedures (SOPs) for beauty and hair salons as businesses start to reopen in the province.

According to the health department's directions, salons will have to abide by the following conditions;

  • provide a service (massage, haircut etc.) to one customer at a time

  • seat one customer in the waiting area

  • accept half of their total capacity of customers

  • no customer should be made to wait for more than 15 minutes

  • appointments should be made through phone
