Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister's assistant Ajmal Wazir has said that the prime minister was "on the front foot himself" as the country deals with the novel coronavirus.

While speaking to media in Peshawar, he asked if PPP chief Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif had visited any hospitals or quarantine centres. He told them to follow standard operating procedures and meet the affected people.

"Our lives are not more important than that of a poor person," Wazir declared, adding that the prime minister was the first leader to have thought about lower-income class and daily-wage workers.
