Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah clarified that marriage halls, shopping malls, hotels and restaurants in the province will remain closed even as the government moves to lift lockdown measures.

"Malls, marriage halls will remain closed [...] there will be no congregations or sports events either," he said, adding that these things have been clearly defined in the guidelines issued by the Centre.

"These guidelines will remain applicable till May 31. This is what the federal government has outlined and we are ready to comply with these directives," he said.
