KHUZDAR: Eleven wardens were suspended by the inspector general of prisons for negligence on Monday after two prisoners allegedly involved in drug business and other heinous crimes escaped from the district jail of Mastung.

According to jail officials, the two undertrial prisoners escaped from the prison by climbing a wall on Sunday. They were identified as Nasarullah and Pir Bakhsh. The official said an investigation had been initiated and a case had been registered against the 11 jail personnel over negligence.

An FIR has been registered at the City Police Station and raids are being conducted to arrest the two men.
