CHITRAL: The provincial cabinet of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf announced the office-bearers for Lower and Upper Chitral districts on Sunday.

As per two separate notifications, Sajjad Ahmed Khan and Faisal Salahuddin have been appointed president and general secretary, respectively, of the party’s Lower Chitral chapter.

Rehmat Ghazi Khan and Aftab M Tahir have been appointed president and general secretary, respectively, for Upper Chitral.

However, some party leaders rejected the composition of the office-bearers in Lower Chitral, alleging that the choice of the workers was ignored.

Hayatur Rehman, the chairman of Insaaf Nazimeen Forum, said that the ‘arbitrary’ decision of the party’s high-ups had disappointed the workers.

In a statement, he said the local leaders would go to any extent to get the ‘selection’ annulled and form a cabinet as per the aspirations of the devoted workers.
