KARACHI: Fauji mela planned

KARACHI, Sept 3: A grand display of armament and equipment under the use of Pakistan Army will be held at Old Race Course Ground near Cantonment Railway Station on Sept 6, the Defence Day of Pakistan, says a press release of ISPR.

The day-long celebrations will begin with Quran Khawani for martyrs in the unit mosques after Fajr prayers. Floral wreaths will be laid at the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam.

Armaments and equipment will be put on display at the Fauji mela. Special air show and fly past by Army Aviation helicopters, open action by artillery guns, fire power of infantry, display of drone and air defence weapon system and horse show will be some of the thrilling events of this mela.
