LAHORE: The Ichhra police Friday arrested a man and his accomplices and recovered from them lethal weapons after the video went viral on social media which showed them brandishing weapons, and hurling threats to public in the streets.

The viral footage showed six people carrying automatic heavy guns and escorting prime accused Furqan Mahmood in the streets of Ichhra. He ordered his armed men to remove CCTV cameras from the area he was living.

The gang, led by Furqan, damaged and removed cameras from the streets and boundary walls of the local residents with rods and clubs.

He shouted that he would “fire bullets” if anyone dared to re-install CCTV cameras.

The police high ups issued order to the Model Town superintendent of police to look into the matter.
