QUETTA: A minority member of the Balochistan Assembly, Denesh Kumar, on Thursday donated Rs5 million to the Coronavirus Relief Fund set up by the Balochistan government.

Mr Kumar handed over the Rs5m cheque to Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani in the Governor House.

Balochistan Governor retired Justice Amanullah Khan Yasinzai and provincial ministers were present on the occasion.

Mr Denesh is the first lawmaker of the ruling Balochistan Awami Party who has donated a handsome amount in the Coronavirus Relief Fund of the provincial government.

While establishing the relief fund, the Balochistan chief minister had appealed to top businessmen, industrialists and coal mine owners of the province to give massive donation in the relief fund of the provincial government.
