KARACHI: 2 die in road accidents

KARACHI, Aug 28: Two persons died in separate road accidents in various parts of the city on Sunday. A teenager died and his friend was seriously injured when a speeding coach knocked their motorcycle on Manghopir Road on Sunday. One of them, Noman, 18, died on the spot while his friend Sajid sustained serious injuries.

Police shifted the wounded to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

The driver escaped from the spot. The police impounded the vehicle.

SHOT DEAD: A young man was shot dead allegedly by his friend over some petty issue in Malir early Sunday morning.

Police said Sheraz Abdi, 25, was sitting with his friend Sarfaraz Haider when the two argued over some matter. Subsequently, Sarfaraz shot Abdi and fled from the spot.

He was taken to the JPMC where he succumbed to his injuries.

In another accident, an elderly man died in a hit-and-run accident in Sohrab Goth.
