I AM writing to pay tributes to Group Captain (retd) Dr Mohammad Amin, who is 97 years old and is still serving at the PAF KIET as Dean Humanities and Science.

He did his PhD in applied mathematics from Imperial College, London, in 1962 and joined PAF College of Aeronautical Engineering directly as a wing commander and even after retirement continues to serve PAF as a teacher at this senior age.

His students have retired as air marshals, engineers and professors and he rightfully deserves the title ‘Teachers’ teacher.’

He is certainly the senior most serving teacher in Pakistan and deserves to be recognised at the national level. Even at this age he stands tall, and displays qualities of singular dedication, devotion and commitment to duty. He is not only a teacher par excellence but a mentor and a source of motivation for all his colleagues and students.
