GUJRANWALA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) claims to have busted a gang of human traffickers and arrested their ringleader in a raid here on Saturday.

As per the FIA, three women -- Ms Rukhsana Kausar, Ms Saeeda and Ms Momina -- in their application to Assistant Director Hassan Farooq alleged a gang was involved in trafficking women to Dubai on the pretext of providing them jobs in beauty saloons there.

The complainants said after trafficking women to Dubai, the gang would allegedly force them into prostitution.

They said when the victims protested they were sent back to Pakistan and threatened with dire consequences if they reported the matter to police.

Acting on the complaint, Mr Farooq constituted a team that raided a place and arrested the gang’s ringleader identified as Adil.
