KARACHI: A young married woman apparently committed suicide over some domestic issues in Mowach Goth on Thursday morning, according to police.

Shakeela, 20, ended her life by hanging herself inside a home in Kachi Para.

Mochko SHO Wasim Ahmed said she was married to Asghar around two years ago.

On Wednesday night, she insisted on being taken to her parent’s home but the husband left home for his shop.

After her husband left the residence, she locked herself inside the room and hanged herself with the ceiling fan. Her brother-in-law broke the door and found the body hanging. The body was shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi to fulfil legal formalities.

The father told police that his daughter never told him she was unhappy with the marriage.
